EVENT INTRODUCTION: POP-UP “DU KÍCH”
Constructed from fragments and ruptures, Pop-up DU KÍCH by Twins Skin unfolds as an immersive space where science, mind, and the physical body intersect. Rather than offering a fixed narrative, the project invites visitors to experience shifting states of perception that reflect the complexity of contemporary life.
Set within the basement of Quang San Art Museum, the pop-up inhabits a space conceived like an underground tunnel system. This architectural gesture transforms the basement into a passage of memory and movement, where materials, light, and handcrafted processes quietly narrate a journey. Every step within the installation becomes part of a sensorial exploration—felt through the body as much as understood by the mind.
At the core of Pop-up DU KÍCH are four guiding principles: Endurance, Self-awareness, Clarity of decision, and Adaptability. These are not presented as abstract ideals, but manifested through spatial arrangements, tactile encounters, and bodily sensations. Visitors are encouraged to move slowly, to notice their own reactions, and to become conscious of how perception shifts under changing conditions.
Developed over more than nine months of research and three months of intensive handcrafted production, the project proposes a contemporary re-reading of the “du kích” spirit. Here, guerrilla is not framed solely as historical memory, but as a mode of existence—one defined by resilience, attentiveness, and the ability to adapt and act within peaceful yet uncertain times.
Pop-up DU KÍCH offers a space for quiet confrontation and reflection. It asks how we endure, how we remain aware, and how we transform in a world that rarely stands still. Through its material language and embodied experience, the installation opens a temporary refuge for sensing, thinking, and reimagining ways of being.
The public is warmly invited to visit and experience Pop-up DU KÍCH at Quang San Art Museum.
