[1] Sau triển lãm cá nhân đầu tiên năm 2005, và triển lãm thứ hai năm 2017 tại Hà Nội, “Giao cảm” là cuộc trưng bày cá nhân lần thứ ba của ông – gồm 30 tác phẩm chọn lọc, thể hiện quá trình sáng tác bền bỉ và độc lập, lặng lẽ như một “ẩn sĩ” nghệ thuật.

Quang San Art Museum is honored to present the third solo exhibition of renowned artist Nguyễn Viết Thanh, titled Giao Cảm (Communion).
After graduating from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts in 1986, Nguyễn Viết Thanh spent a long period away from the public eye before officially showcasing his works. It was not until 2005 that he held his first solo exhibition at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum. At that time, the media dubbed him the “hidden artist”—a reflection of the challenging years during the post-subsidy period, when financial struggles forced him to set aside his artistic passion. That first exhibition bore the imprint of deep exploration and experimentation, expressed through multiple styles rooted in the personal emotions accumulated during his years of quiet dedication.
In 2017, his second solo exhibition at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association marked a significant turning point. By then, both the public and critics recognized the maturity in his artistic vision and the distinctive style that had become uniquely his own. This exhibition affirmed a strong personal voice and identity in the realm of contemporary Vietnamese painting.
With Giao Cảm, now hosted at Quang San Art Museum, Nguyễn Viết Thanh continues to assert his independent artistic journey. This exhibition is not only an extension of the emotions and life experiences he has accumulated but also an exploration of new currents of feeling intertwined with cherished memories and profound reflections.
